It is perfect, you can still see outside enough where you don't feel claustrophobic, yet it is plenty thick enough to keep the cold air out and warm air in. I think the length, well the total size is exetremely generous for the price. I haven't used it outdoors, but for indoor use it has held up well, even being slept on and jumped on by kids without obvious tears or holes.My only disappointment is in the box design. I was hoping I could just open a side flap, and roll some out like a kitchen plastic wrap dispenser. But the sides are securely glued, I had to open the end flap, remove the roll from the box, unroll what I needed, and cut it to length, all while holding it in mid air the whole time to keep the roll from getting dirty. Putting it back in the back was a problem, the outer plastic would catch inside the box so it wouldn't go back in the box cleanly unless I taped the end of the roll into place.
