As another person mentioned, I purposefully left out the screws holding the bottom tray, so that I could just lift it out to clean it. The kettle removes easily, too, and the wing nuts make it a snap to remove the cover to clean. Looks brand new again. The only "con" that I have so far is the door flap on the bottom. It is very hard to open and close and I'm afraid I will break off the tabs that hold it in place. I'm not sure if I'm having trouble because I didn't put the bottom tray screws in (so the tray may jiggle a bit when I'm trying to open the flap), or what the issue is. I'm just being careful with it when I open or close it. All in all, I'm thrilled with this purchase. I think it will keep up with my home use. I was worried about the machine producing enough popcorn for everyone and probably could have gotten away with purchasing the smaller machine as this one popped more than enough for the group of 10 people. Plus fresh popped kernels are way better and healthier than the microwave type. Popped two batches of 1cup kernels each and machine produced good quality and quantity of popcorn, everyone loved it!! The clean up was pretty good, as were the instructions on how to clean after use. For the price this machine is build pretty sturdy and worth the money paid. And happy it got the job done.
