Review: Great kit - This was a fabulous kit to make. Tamiya really do provide kits with excellent detail. The instructions were very clear. Some parts are very fiddly, for example lamp covers, so a good pair of tweezers is recommended. I decided to add weathering. I referred to a photo of a Sherman allocated to the Polish tank brigade that fought in the Falaise area.

Everything fits together, no gaps but the hull and the base are a tight fit together. A bit of careful easing together is needed. Currently one of these tanks someone has bought off me, so I have had to buy again lol. Nice tank definitely can recommend this kit. Some small fiddly bits to glue, but most certainly better quality, easier to build than the 'Fury' Italeri kit of the same type of Sherman.

**Q: Are the instructions also in English or are they only in German**
A: Hi - the instructions are in English, French, German and Japanese.  They are heavily illustrated with diagrams, which makes them relatively easy to follow.

**Q: Are the tracks one piece or are they individual like the Meng kit which has hundreds of parts just for the tracks.**
A: Hi, 
The tracks are the newer one piece type from Tamiya that you can glue together rather than joining with heated screw driver.
1/ The kit goes together quite easily with no fit issues.  Unlike the Asuka model of the Easy Eight that got rebranded under Tamiya that came out about the same time which had hundreds of parts for everything.
2/ Unlike the old Tamiya Sherman kits, this kit provides the parts to seal off the sponson gap when you attach lower and upperhull.
3/ No internal detail is provided. So not even a simplified gun breech.
4/ Decals are a decent quality but as this is an ETO version very plain & simple.
5/ Fun build and not complicated that still gives you a decent ETO version of the Easy Eight.

**Q: Is this the same as the British firefly?**
A: The outward appearance is very similar but the British version had a 17lb gun and the American version has a long barrelled 76mm

This was a fabulous kit to make. Tamiya really do provide kits with excellent detail. The instructions were very clear. Great kit to build. It loses 1 star because the decals are rubbish, and the rear lower hull pieces could fit a little more accurately to allow the top hull to sit correctly at the end of the build. Pieces are moulded well, with no flash, although some seam lines need cleaning up.
