We got it as a play pen for socializing work with fostercats - if you are looking for socializing info/help, check out socializationsaveslives dot com - and it works perfectly! In that method, you do get in the play pen with the cat, and I like this because not only can you put a hidey hold inside, there's a barrier, so the cat can go where it feels safe. The tent is enormous!!! So it doesn't feel all the confined. The little circles to get in/out of the tent were super appealing to the cats. They aren't big enough if you're a bigger human so if you're using it for the same purpose we were, keep that in mind. We like that the entire thing is see-through so we could play with the feather wand while the cat was inside and that was a lot of fun for everyone.

This is a great product to allow your cat to go outside while staying safe. Sets up quickly. The rain cover is a nice extra to protect your pet from the sun, as is the storage bag to keep it in when not being used to protect it. Large openings are helpful with getting your pet in and out. The mesh screen divider with the holes is not really necessary, but since it doesn't distract, it's fine. Good price for the features it has.
