Review: This machine arrives in mostly functional state, however go on youtube and you can learn learn how to set this machine up. There are a few moving parts on the machine that might need some observation to make sure they move freely. If any parts bind or rub they can be adjusted with washers at pivots to give rubbing parts some travel clearance. Use nylock nuts on some of these bolts, so they do not come apart as some bolts are there as pivots and not designed to be fully tightened. Many of the nut and bolt sizes are M6-1.0 Metric. Once you have the moving parts moving free and clear, then you should mount the machine on a wood pedestal riser and mount pedestal riser on a nice big flat piece of wood with rubber feet. Enough to clear the hand crank. Make sure machine is stable when cranking. Also lubricate all contact and pivot points with oil. The next thing to make sure is to know how to verify and possibly set the 'timing' if needed. This involves setting the rotating bobbin hook to swing right past the threaded needle, just as the needle goes to full depth and begins to go back up. Then learn to route the thread through the machine and set the thread tension. There are many youtube videos showing everything I have mentioned above. Once it is set up, it is an amazing machine! I have sewn through very thick material with zero issues. This machine is not 100% 'plug and play' but if you have the patience and some fabrication skills to set this machine up, you will have a machine that easily does what machines many times this price point can do. :-)

**Q: How to adjust the Shuttle Bed so that the bobbin thread can be drawn out smoothly suture？**
A: This function is called 'timing'. Timing the bobbin and needle to be in the right position at the right time.
There are 2 parts to it, and only the 'fine tuning' of it are shown in the images.  That is the two nuts, referred to in the image as 'screws'.  
The other part that will most likely cause the timing to be off is the gear that rotates the bobbin.  The timing is set at the factory with the two nuts, but one can either accidentally pull out the gear with the bobbin and bobbin carrier, or intentionally remove it to apply grease or oil on the gear shaft that spins the whole thing; and then there is big time trouble - if you do not know how to install the gear.
The picture showing the final position the needle is in to pick up the bobbin thread when the timing is adjusted properly. This picture shows how to VERIFY the timing is good.
The beginning of it all is the gear under the bobbin carrier and how to install the gear. 
•   The hand crank handle needs to be at the 12 o'clock position, straight up.
•  The high part of the gear aligns to the long arm, towards the crank. That is that the high part is equally aligned side-to-side with the long arm, towards the crank wheel.
•  Drop the gear down onto the shaft and wiggle to seat it.
•  If the high part is off one gear cog, it will not align equally with the arm, and it needs to be removed and installed so that it aligns.
•  Otherwise, if aligned wrong, it will not look the same as in the picture with the needle down. Misalignment will cause no pick-up, or the stitch will be loose.

**Q: Where do I obtain additional compatible thread? Special size?**
A: You can buy it on Amazon.
Use a
110/18 needle
Poly thread is good,  like 138/ Tex 135.
Do not use waxed thread. Go to YouTube lots of videos. Thread and needle are based on how thick the leather is or what its going to be used for.  Like a hand bag vs a bag used outdoors. When exposed to the sun some threads break down.

**Q: When this shoe repairing machine is used, will the thread be tight or broken?**
A: Adjusting the of the thread is crucial. Thread can break if :
Disks are too tight,bobbin and where the bobbin sits are not polished. The hole where the needle goes in is too small (file or drill out bigger). Thread wound too tight onto bobbin.last the metal arm on bobbin to tight. Once you figure out how to adjust, this machine is AMAZING.

**Q: Is the stand of this shoe repairing machine stable?**
A: The legs are just adequate. They are very thin and have small rubber feet. 
Most people will build a table for the machine. Check YouTube for ideas. 
I have two machines, one has a flat wood base, use it on a table. The other has 3/4" or 18mm square steel tubing attached. Like a tripod.
The existing legs allow the machine to move around too much. This machine is a great value for the money. Once it is adjusted,(if needed) again see YouTube.  It is a bullet proof machine.

Its a nice little machine once you get it to work properly and works ok but you need to work on her there are lots of sharp edges you have to round over and polish , it needs a better instructions manual with more details the tools and machine stand they Suply are of poor cuality i strongly recommend making a custom made one as you prefer other than that for the price of it it is what you need as a hobbyist nice and sturdy
