## Description

The MyoWare Muscle sensor has been redesigned from the ground up with a new easy-to-use, compact design & upgraded with the latest & greatest chipset improving sensor performance & reliability. The innovative snap connector system eliminates the need to solder connections for the MyoWare 2.0 ecosystem. It's that easy: stick on a few electrodes (not included), read the output voltage & flex some muscles!The sensor measures muscle activity through the electric potential of the muscle, commonly referred to as surface electromyography (EMG or sEMG for short). When your brain tells your muscle to flex, it sends an electrical signal to your muscle to start recruiting motor units (the bundles of muscle fibers that generate the force behind your muscles).The sensor builds upon its previous wearable design that allows you to attach sensor pads directly to the board itself, getting rid of those pesky cables. This board includes a single-supply voltage of +3.3V to +5V, three output modes, reverse polarity protected power pins, & indicator LEDs. We have developed a few shields (such as the Cable, Power, & LED shields to name a few) that can attach to the MyoWare 2.0 Muscle Sensor to help increase its versatility & functionality! The MyoWare 2.0 ecosystem consists of shields that easily interface with the MyoWare 2.0 Muscle Sensor, which is a low-cost, compatible with Arduino, all-in-one electromyography (EMG) sensor from Advancer Technologies. The innovative connector system allows users to easily snap shields together with a compact low profile & connect to a microcontroller's analog input to measure raw, filtered, & rectified electrical activity of a target muscle. This eliminates the need to solder connections between boards.This product is a collaboration with Brian Kaminski from Advancer Technologies. A portion of each sales goes back to them for product support & continued development.

Review: Improves upon the previous model - This new model works just as well as the previous model. I can say the sensitivity seems better and the shape is an improvement. The sensor is accurate enough you could use it as an input device like a virtual computer mouse using muscle movements.
Review: What a waste of money and time - It just did not work. I returned it hoping that the second one would work. But the second one did not work either. I tried and tried. Looked at videos, followed both quick and detailed instructions. Bought pads. Thinking it may be my USB from the computer, I bought a USB isolator. Still nothing. Connected it to the battery only, thinking that somehow the USB or my Arduino was screwing it up. All By itself, id not work.. I left a message with the manufacturer in the hope that they have a solution... but no reply yet. I give up and will try to return this one as well.

This new model works just as well as the previous model. I can say the sensitivity seems better and the shape is an improvement. The sensor is accurate enough you could use it as an input device like a virtual computer mouse using muscle movements.

It just did not work. I returned it hoping that the second one would work. But the second one did not work either. I tried and tried. Looked at videos, followed both quick and detailed instructions. Bought pads. Thinking it may be my USB from the computer, I bought a USB isolator. Still nothing. Connected it to the battery only, thinking that somehow the USB or my Arduino was screwing it up. This module and related ones do not work. We imported it from the USA to Ecuador and it is a disappointment because it makes a lot of noise. It does not work with insulators or batteries. I do not recommend for any application. Este módulo y los relacionados no funcionan. Lo importamos desde USA a Ecuador y es una decepción por que tiene mucho ruido. no funciona ni con aisladores ni con baterías. No recomiendo para ninguna aplicación.
