If you need to make it quiet, use pegasus switches, but those will change the feel and sound... I keep the light on solid red (actually looks like deep orange) in order to be able to read the characters of the keys. Do not get the dark version of the keyboard, it is very hard to read the characters on the keys..... Unless you specifically want that.... Dark version not for me.
