A: Yes it is, but not thwith the hook side of velcro

**Q: Is this waterproof? Can it be used outdoors?**
A: This can be used outdoors yes. It plastic with adhesive backing

**Q: Can this be machine sewn onto fabric, for better sticking on the adhesive side?**
A: This is not fabric like normal hook and loop(velcro). It is a plastic material with a level of stiffness. It is best suited to smooth substrates.

**Q: But how strong is the self adhesive backing? Velcro works on guitar pedals except for when the tape comes off the pedal; the locking is fine.**
A: If you clean and warm the surfaces before applying, it will not come off except with heat( e.g. a hairdryer)
