One shelf is enough in a small enclosure. I like the build of this; surprisingly heavy with nice clean lines of highly polished chrome. I have given it a decent workout with my hands and it feels sturdy. If the manufacturers give a 5 year guarantee, they too must be confident it is built to last. In manufacture some do slip through stringent quality controls and if you are unlucky, you may get one which falls apart too soon, but Amazon is always there to replace. If you are after a single shelf for your shower, this is just what you need. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to fit and looks good in situ *by R***H on 3 August 2015* Easy to fit and looks good in situ. The test will be how long the chrome looks good for. As we live in an area with very hard water, it remains to be seen how it stands up to the cleaning required to remove limescale. ### ⭐ Top stainless steel bar was very badly finished very rough & sharp *by M***I on 3 December 2021* The caddy was just what we wanted & was so disappointed we had to return it. Reason for return was the very bad finish on the top bar, it was rough & in some places sharp. Have since received one from another seller, cheaper price, which is perfect.
