Review: Leaks!!!!! - Worked perfectly, however, it leaked. had it replaced, also leaked. The A/C unit was well made, but I suspect it had been dropped (weighs 45Kg) in transit and it had been damaged internally?!
Review: Worth every penny! - A good, efficient, solid air conditioning unit. I installed mine about 6 years ago and it's never let me down. Does a fantastic job of keeping our bedroom cool. I chose it as it doesn't need a separate external condenser unit so all very neat and tidy. It does require two 200mm holes to be core drilled in the wall, which may be a challenge for some (meaning hiring in someone if you don't have the skills or equipment.) I'm an electrical engineer so it was no great shakes for me and I'm pretty sure anyone with decent DIY skills won't have any trouble with installation. It does lose a star as it can be noisy at times, but you do get used to it. Also, unlike mobile / portable a/c machines it never need emptying of condense water as it drains outside. A big plus point. In summary, its an absolute godsend on warm, humid nights and leagues above any portable a/c units!

**Q: The flat is a rental 5th floor. no holes can be made in the walls for the two pipes being visible from outside . please explain installation**
A: this needs 2 large holes about 200mm in diameter through an outside wall, plus a small 25mm hole for the condensed water to drain away. If you can not access the outside wall, you will need to hire a large hole cuter or get someone in to cut the holes for you (this could cost up to £200), and some debris will fall outside. 
You could do better by having a free-standing aircon unit (about half cost of this unit) and get a window insert to take exhaust hot air outside.   Hope this helps?

**Q: What is the power supply of this? Does it plug into a normal uk wall socket?**
A: Yes, just use a UK plug

**Q: How easy is installation?**
A: Pretty straightforward. Just two holes to drill in the wall and a bracket to screw in. Works like a dream and cools brilliantly. Made ourconservatory inhabitable! Highly recommended.

A good, efficient, solid air conditioning unit. I installed mine about 6 years ago and it's never let me down. Does a fantastic job of keeping our bedroom cool. I chose it as it doesn't need a separate external condenser unit so all very neat and tidy. It does require two 200mm holes to be core drilled in the wall, which may be a challenge for some (meaning hiring in someone if you don't have the skills or equipment.) Olimpia Splendid Unico 12 hp è un ottimo prodotto con pompa di calore, classe A, funzione freddo, caldo, deumidificatore, e ventilatore, arrivato completo di tutto per installazione fai da te. Molto silenzioso considerando che ha il compressore interno, livello sonoro poco più di un ventilatore di media grandezza, assolutamente non fastidioso anche con guardando la tv, facile da piazzare, istruzioni molto precose e dettagliate, i fori esterni sono un po grandi e per essere eseguiti necessitano di buona manualità con il trapano, impensabile usare la carotatrice da 20 cm soprattutto se piazzato vicino al soffitto, ma niente di particolarmente difficile ( il mio muro era da 50 cm ) Comandi completi e semplici, fa tutto da solo con pochi click sul telecomando. Garanzia di 4 anni. Molto soddisfatto, raffresca ottimamente, piazzato in alto in una stanza di circa 35 mq e alta 4.5 mt. Non valutato in riscaldamento, ma non è stato acquistato per questo, ma sicuramente utile nella mezza stagione autunnale. Già in previsione di acquistarne un altro. Ottimo acquisto, consiglio sicuramente.
