The text and maps etc. are all as informative as other birding books (at first I thought it more may be aimed at a younger audience but it doesn't feel that way). The photos are great for comparison as they are large enough to see differences - the tiny birds have life size photos but ALSO blown up bigger ones which is very cool! Ie. For Goldcrest / Firecrest.. The great big ones like the Swan show the head and neck rather than the whole bird (in case you wondered as the book is not swan sized!).. Overall, very cool.. And I'm very impressed with this special book! Would be a fantastic gift for anyone young or old, beginner or dedicated birder - add some FUN to your birding library!!
