I guess they assume you have previously assembled a bike and run brake cables before. You have to unscrew the brake line support in order to put in the handle bars, then reassemble it - all the while holding the brake cable in your hand. Then you are supposed to somehow run the brake line and attach some black cable looking part and 1 miscellaneous washer to some location not specified. So sad my 12 year old who really wanted to ride it won't be able to until I can search the internet for instructions. Would it really be that difficult to put in a 1 page diagram or instruction sheet? **Q: is it water proof or resistent?** A: It is water resistant to a continued direct splash. There are no waterproof e-Scooters. If any are submerged in water for a period of time they wiill not function. **Q: Is this brand truly cheaply made? My girlfriends son rode my V2 yesterday and he got it up to 19.4 MPH he weighs 90 lbs. The only limitation of this unit is battery life but I accomplished 9.3 miles myself and I weigh 190lbs and I did that in 59 mins 40 seconds. BTW, 9.3 miles straight on a scooter isn't as easy as it sounds, I was tired and took a nap afterwards and I've ridden motorcycles for hours at a time and not felt nearly as exhausted. **Q: Is there a trick to folding it and using the clip? It has pretty standard functions like folding, front led lamp, rear stop signal, screen with current speed. There is no suspension, but that's kind of expected in this class. Something that I did not see before - is cruise control function. That allow you to ride on selected speed. Pretty nice. I was able to get to max speed of 15mph on this one, but it's pretty scary on this speed already. Important thing - rider weight. I'm big guy (more than 230lb) and this scooter is a bit slow for me. I bought 350w motor version. For light and small people, teenagers - 350w model would be more than enough.
