Why? Well, usually when you go online for a kettle lead, what you are offered is a much longer lead for a computer (now referred to, confusingly, as a 'kettle lead'). Don't buy one of those for your kettle! Such a lead is less safe because it gets in the way on the counter top, and sometimes it's too thin, as well. Meanwhile, now that most kettles sit on a base, a proper bona fide kettle lead is getting harder and harder to find.So this one was an excellent find - sturdy, safe and the right short length. It would be good if it was supplied also in black. I ordered this in January and at the very beginning of February a product was delivered. Instead of the Kettle lead I had ordered, I received the mains lead part of a laptop power supply. Knowing I would be leaving the country on business the next day, I wrote a note containing a picture of the product I had ordered and a request to send the correct item and returned this and the offending lead back at my own expense. I also sent an email explaining what was going on.I then received an email some days later apologising for the mix-up. I was assured that the correct item was being dispatched.
