**Q: Does the system warn when it's time to replace filter?**
A: We haven't had the filter long enough yet to know, but this is from the Brita website:  
How often should I change my filter?
The "Filter Life" light will turn red when 120 gal of water have been filtered. Additionally, if water flows too slowly, but the indicator is still flashing green or yellow, you may have poor water quality (e.g. sediment, sand, rust, etc.) that requires more frequent filter replacement to maintain the desired flow rate.

**Q: I purchased the hub. i currently only plug it in when i am dispensing water. does it need to be left plugged in all the time?**
A: I am not certain if it needs to be plugged in at all times, but we do not unplug it.

**Q: Is any alternative exists for Brita Hub water filter? Looks like its not available anywhere and pretty expensive comparing with other filters.**

It has been such a $$ savings to replace purchasing bottled water! Then progress onto using Brita Water Pitchers and purchasing Brita filters for Brita Pitchers. HOWEVER...Christmas 2024 one of the BEST gifts I ever received was a Brita HUB. The HUB is a 3 quart, Instant water Filter System on your Countertop. The Brita HUB has made getting our clean water so very simple...we are not having to consistently fill water pitchers plus the Brita HUB Filters last 6 months. Now, all we have to do is fill the Brita Hub nightly with tap water, and use the Brita Hub throughout the day until the next filling is needed. Fresh, Clean water frequently as needed! Extremely fast and EASY! We keep an extra Brita HUB Replacement Water Filter on hand and order another every time we replace a Filter in the Brita HUB.
