These are just that and have proved ideal for my shrubs and small trees. They are sturdy and came at a very reasonable price. Perhaps best to regard them as secateurs on steroids. Great for my garden which is full of big woody shrubs like buddlia ..... rather taxing for ordinary pruners. Also I have a bit of arthritis in my hands and these are so much easier to use being two handed. It is now February 2017 the pruners have seen the full cycle of the gardening year and some more. Still performing excellently.
