New machine won't turn on - updated review
It's plugged in and won't turn on. The power light is red or it's off. I have been in possession of this computer for 3 hours. I'm going to see if the power light will turn green, then allow it to turn on. First impression, very disappointed.UPDATE:I got a replacement and ordered one for a client. Both machines had zero start up issues and work as expected. I've upgraded my initial 1-star review to reflect that the new computers are reliable.I was looking for a 10-key pad in traditional layout as a primary feature. The 10-key is comfortable and exactly what I was looking for.

Good Value for a no-frills machine
Overall an good budget machine. Boot-up was quick, and the audio guidance through the initialization was straightforward even for this geriatric -- loading of previously used favorites, etc., etc., was smooth and fairly quick. Buyers should read the product description and be content with WIN10 in S mode restrictions... it can be changed, but that sort of defeats the purpose of locked-down machine.For us older folks with tired eyes, the lack of key lighting can be a nuisance, especially for work in the dark; however, otherwise a solid machine and no surprises so far.

When I received this order, after charging gor an ample amount of time the computer would not even power on. Maybe it was the screen that wasnt working, because I could hear the set up process talking to me, but there was nothing I cam do. This was complete garbage. Then when I returned it, the nextd day, they have recieved over a week ago and has yet to refund my money@!!

Super seller
I had to return this wonderful HP laptop. My son found out I bought it and told me he bought me an HP laptop for Christmas so had to return this one. Amazon and the 3rd party seller were great and refunded purchase price in a timely manner. I would do business with the seller again. I've always had good luck with HP laptops, PCs.

Just perfect.
I love this laptop, it does everything that I need. It's been so long since I've had a new pc, that it took just a little bit to get used to the way things worked. I'm so very pleased.

It came in S mode
I don't know a huge amount about computers but I took it to the Geek Squad to have them help me set it up and they said it was in S Mode which was a pain. They took it out of that mode. Other than that, setup didn't take too long and they were able to get me through everything. It's a pretty nice computer
