A: We heard a crack at 156 lbs but it was solid up to 150 lbs. Total crash at 220 lbs!

**Q: can media bar be removed ?**
A: No, the bar is fixed. This is a wonderful bed tray and we are using it more often.  Well made.

**Q: Has the quality of wood improved?**
A: Has the quality of wood improved compared to what?  It's an inexpensive bed tray.  I haven't gotten any splinters.  It is surprisingly sturdy.  A good value.

**Q: How is this quality?**
A: I like the quality. It's sturdy, my 8 year old dropped it and nothing has happened. We've left drinks on it, no water rings, easy to clean. It really holds up well when we use it for our laptops or as a food tray.

Purchased in preparation for a surgery that will leave me bedridden for quite some time. In terms of looks, it is really cute and matches the color of the wood furniture I have. It feels really sturdy, no wobbles or any seams that look iffy at all - I'll update the review if anything changes. No weird smells or anything from the package. I can fit my laptop on very comfortably with a mouse pad and mouse, a mug of tea, and some pens. There is also a lovely little ledge to prop up a phone or a book while working. I wish I had this for my late night study sessions in college. and there is enough lift that there is space for me to crisscross my legs while using it, that being said I am a fairly skinny person, so I don't think you would be able to be comfortable using this if you've got big thighs. The legs do flare out at the bottom a bit so even if your thighs are wider than the tray, you've got about +4 inches of leg space. Edit - over 1 year after i first bought this it has held up. I had it holding planters for about 10 months and it definitely got water on it. Still looks great and has held up well.
