As others have said, it's a little disappointing that the white shielding comes so far up the length of the bulb, but I guess this space is needed to house the step-down transformer and cannot be avoided. I certainly lost a Brownie-point from my other half for their appearance. That said, I prefer the white frosted finish of these compared to clear incandescent bulbs and to my eyes they look better. But what do I know? I'm just a man...Their colour temperature is geared toward the warmer end of the spectrum, but (again to my eyes) not as warm as incandescent bulbs with their orangey glow. I prefer these to incandescent.I've had cheaper LED bulbs go pop after a few weeks, so time will tell how well these last. If I have any bulbs fail I shall update this review.So - they drop a star for the amount of white shielding and the branding on the shield, but unless I have failures these are a top product for the price.Recommended. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Good bulb, shame about the base *by S***E on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 October 2015* Pros:- Decent brightness (better than many other LED equivalents- Good colour / temperatureCons:- If your light fittings have the bulb on display then these may not be for you.The bottom inch or so of the bulb as pictured is plastic rather than light emitting. I knew this when I ordered the bulbs, as you can plainly see this in the photo. What you can't see is that the plastic base has a great big VINSUN logo one side, and the power details on the other... making these completely unsuitable if you need the bulb on display. ### ⭐⭐ Not long lasting *by D***A on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 11 March 2019* Well I purchased these last April 2018 and I've just hlald to replace two of them.
