I DID take the plastic off of the skates. No question there. And I didn't like the feel of it so I put tape on them. When changing the tape ANOTHER LAYER of the plastic that was covering the skates came off. First layer was black, second was blue...so I guess I didn't get the whole dang thing off. NOW the mouse is absolutely perfect in my opinion. Upgraded from my original 4 star to 5. MY opinion based on MY experience... So far I'm liking this mouse with one exception.
