A: The white surface is shiny and and does not get easily dirty. And if gets dirty of dirty fingers you can just wipe it off with a little damp cloth and dish soap.But the surface does not stand hard scratches from a tool or for a long time with keys in your pocket. The quality of the pen is great. I have five.

A: I have no idea what oil based means in regards to this pen. It appears to be regular plastic to me.

The LAMY Pico ballpoint pen is a pocket sized pen which can make for the ultimate handy travel companion. When closed the writing tip retracts neatly into the metal pen body meaning no worries about it taking up too much space or accidentally writing on the inside of your pocket! If you are a fan of Lamy pens and need something that's compact, easy to use and versatile (all whilst maintaining that Lamy quality) then this could well be the pen for you. Surprised at how small it is when closed, perfect edc pen and fidget toy in one. Orange is really bright so easy to find in a bag or pouch.
