Keeps the water out but you need to have some moisture absorbing inserts to prevent fogging. Without them, any temperature change will cause issues. I use these for static outdoor filiming of events on a tripod. I've found that if you remove the front glass they protect 99% of the camera and only leave the lens exposed, so fogging doesn't occur.
