It's very easy to set up. I did not want to stick a magnet to the back of Samsung Galaxy Note 8 so tested it by placing on the cover from the inside. Unfortunately, the magnet was not strong at all and wouldn't hold the phone. I then decided to stick the round magnet to the back of my cover. This method somehow worked. I've been driving around locally and haven't had any problems yet. I just wish the magnet was strong enough to hold the weight of a mammoth phone like the Note 8 with a heavy duty cover on it.
