They listened as I read it with their 6 and 3 year old sisters but weren't as interested after the first one or two readings (my kids generally will listen to the same book over and over but the puzzle aspect was gone). My first grade 6 year old didn't get the animals quite as quickly as the third graders but enjoyed the challenge and surprises when she was wrong. Good illustrations and writing. Perfect length. Recommend for elementary read-aloud and as an introduction to animal habit.
