It really is surprisingly spacious! The narrow pocket with loops inside fits a set of micron pens with extra slots for my other go-to inking pens, so my whole collection of favorite drawing tools fits in just that pocket alone for quick and easy access. The bigger pocket holds a ton of stuffβ€” mine is holding lots of pencils and writing implements, erasers, extra lead for mechanical pencils, a protractor, a pair of scissors, a craft knife, a bottle of glue, and still has space to fit more.
