I needed this to hold some important receipts and am tired of the other types of plastic zip lock envelopes that keep breaking. These are strong with an excellent zipper and will last a long time. They do not have to be used for pens and pencils but can also be used for cash and important papers or to store other small incidentals. The current price of $7.85 plus tax for three "pencil" cases comes to a very reasonable $2.62 per case (plus tax). I highly recommend these and will purchase more if I need them.

My boyfriend purchased a set of these and when I found them at his place, I loved the quality so much that I purchased two sets. I needed this to hold some important receipts and am tired of the other types of plastic zip lock envelopes that keep breaking. These are strong with an excellent zipper and will last a long time. They do not have to be used for pens and pencils but can also be used for cash and important papers or to store other small incidentals. These are Very nice quality in every way! I highly recommend paying a few cents more for Mr. Pen pencil pouches! The value for the money, the color, the ease of the use of the zipper, and the quality of the plastic are excellent!!!! I also bought a four pack of a cheaper brand, almost identical pencil pouch, and there is a HUGE difference in the plastic quality, the zipper quality and the design that goes around the top by the zipper.
