It took awhile for my bedroom to get cooled down. There is cool mist coming out and the noise is not too loud like my big fan is. There is no remote. The size to me is okay. The appearance is a tower. In the back bottom is where you place the ice pack that comes with it. Gets cool with that and that helps a little with performance. Just wish that it had more power. If it had a little bit more power that would be great. Got it for some money off. That is probably why there was a discount. Maybe company will come out with one with more power and hopefully they will let me test it out for a review.
