First, it is designed so that you can have from on to three separate compartments, which is why I decided to try it, and the manufacturing on this makes it work just as you would want--the sections fit together perfectly and are easy to open, or add/detach a compartment. Second, it is titanium and seems nearly indestructible. Third, it is relatively small but large enough to hold several normal-sized pills or supplements (such as Beano or Lactaid) in each compartment--some of the others that I tried were simply too small to hold anything other than a small round pill. Fourth, there is a gasket for each compartment so they are waterproof.
