Easy to read, with the occasional technical supplement. The CD is useful for learning some exercises in the Buteyko method - one can concentrate on doing the exercise instead of having to do it while simultaneously remembering what the exercise should be. I don't know enough physiology to comment on the scientific claims in the book, and I haven't done the program long enough to confirm/deny an improvement in general health. But I can say that when I visited my relatives recently and they couldn't hear me snore, they thought the paper tape suggestion on page 47 was by itself worth many times the price of the book/CD. Review: Easy guide to better sleep - The practices in this short and simple guide to improving sleep have proven effective for me and my wife (who has asthma). I was often congested at night and would snore and waken frequently through the night with a dry mouth. After following the practices for a few weeks, I am now able to sleep soundly through the night with my mouth closed, without snoring, and wake up easily with no alarm. The practices are so simple, I find myself breathing more easily through my nose during the day, even during exercise and hikes up hills, where I previously would be gasping for air. What a difference!
