Does the paper come out as white as it would with a white putty rubber?** A: No it doesn't leave a grey mark and the paper will stay white. these rubbers are best if you knead the rubber between your fingers it then becomes pliable and feels a little bit tacky but don't worry it doesn't affect the paper, and what is good about these rubbers you can shape it to a point to remove small areas. If it does get dirty with graphite just keep kneading it and it disappears. **Q: Does it work for graphite? cause i have one that works only for charcoal not graphite! where is it made?** A: | use mine for all grades of graphite pencils from 4H to 9B and find it works fine on all of them. They are made (according to their label) in Malaysia. **Q: Does it work for graphite? After kneading then they do tend to be very soft. A little softer than I wanted but they do the job. I used mine with chalks and with pencils and even water colours.
