**Q: Would this handle a Harley Softail Standard (jiffy stand)**
A: The lift is rated to 450kg (990lb) so, as long as your Harley isn't heavier than that, it should be no problem. Just make sure you have clearance under the bike from one side of the frame to the other,  i.e. no parts of the engine are lower than the frame at the balance point where you want to place the lift, and you'll be fine. The good thing is that being screw operated and not hydraulic, you can get the wheels off the ground and leave it without worrying about it sinking over time.

**Q: Would this be okay for a gs1150 it’s a big bike**
A: we are unable to advise regarding specific bikes, we recommend using the spec stated in our manual to check suitability.

**Q: How is it raised and lowered**
A: its made by a big screw like an arquimides one, you turn it in to raise lower the table.

**Q: I have a classic yamaha fs1e and was wondering if this could be used with the bike on the stand**
A: the weight will not be a problem. However, as with lifts like this, check it is not lifting on the exhaust etc. With my Bonneville t100, I had to use 2 pieces of wood under the bike frame first. Could just be me, but I couldn't get it to work otherwise.
