Infact you cannot connect it via AV as there are also no connections **Q: is it possible to set the recorder timer to record straight onto a dvd disc** A: Why would you want to record onto a dvd Disc??? When there is a 500 GB HDD Included on this unit. **Q: Is it true that this machine will not record films to DVD from hard drive** A: I deliberately recorded a film to HDD last night, and it has copied this to DVD with no problem.
