So thought we’d try these castors on our small coffee table, as dragging it back and forth through thick carpet was becoming damaging and was really hard work! Because of the structural build of our coffee table we had to use our own screws and could only fix 3 screws in, (which we were aware of from viewing the product profile photos on desertcart, and comparing them to the bottom of our coffee table). We assumed 3 screws would be sufficient, and that assumption turned out to be correct. These castors work perfectly for what we wanted them for. They fitted really well and once screwed on felt very sturdy. So we can now pull, push and swivel our coffee table effortlessly through our new thick carpet. They were simple to fit! The brakes work well, albeit not sure we’ll have much need for them. They swivel 360. If you do need to use your own screws you will need screws with big heads on, or some washers. Thanks** A: No. As you pull/push the object that you have attached the wheels, they will always swivel in line irrespective of the angle of movement. Clearly when stationery, you might have to give a wheel a foot tap if you perceive the "brake" protruding. Fundamentally though, not an issue. **Q: Im having my floorboards sanded & varnished, would these leave dents in the floor when moving / if the chest of drawers is stationary for a long time?** A: I haven't used these castors on furniture but used them on a jig to move an external door about while carving out the recesses for hinges etc.. They performed very well, in your case I can see no problems arising as long as the floor finish is first class. **Q: Are these suitable for an armchair and a small 2 seater sofa?** A: I've used them for a wooden filing cabinet . I had to use different screws as I was scared of splitting the wood. The filing cabinet only has to be moved on rear occasions so it's not daily.
