It's small and light and (like all my Anker purchases so far) it's good quality. I have read of people having problems with power-consuming USB devices such as external hard drives, particularly when plugged into a USB-A hub plugged into a rear port on the Mac. This one is NOT a powered hub, and NOT a charging device, so it's a matter of reading all the specs carefully before deciding if it meets your needs.
