Everything you need to make your own Hanukkah or birthday candles. A great family activity to prepare for the holiday! This kit includes 45 beeswax strips in an assortment of colors, wick and directions. The beeswax strips measure 4" x 1 1/2" and each strip will make a candle measuring 4" tall x 3/8" wide. The candles have a burn time of approximately 45 minutes each. Beeswax candles burn clean and are environmentally friendly.

**Q: Are these candles dripless?**
A: The candles caught fire and we threw them away.

**Q: why doesn't the seller share how long the wick is...**
A: Each kit has 6 yards of flat braid cotton wick included, thank you for bringing that to our attention.  It was an oversight on our part but the listing has been updated.

**Q: Is there paraffin in the dye used to color the wax?**
A: Thank you for your question!

The beeswax sheets are colored with a candle safe dye, it does not contain paraffin.

**Q: What kind of dye is used for the colored wax? Natural dyes or food color (Red 40 and such)?**
A: Thank you for your question.  The beeswax sheets are not colored with food dye, they are colored with dye that is specifically used in the candle industry.   Only a few grams of dye is used to color 200 pounds of wax, so it is extremely diluted. The manufacturer of the beeswax sheets has been using the same dyes for over 50 years.

We offer the candle sheets in an array of colors as an option for those who want to make colored candles, but for people that may be sensitive to chemicals we recommend the ivory wax sheets as they contain no dye.
