I have tried many brands of raw cacao sold on Amazon. Joyfuel used to stand far and above all the others, with a rich, floral aroma unmatched by any other cacao I have ever tried. However, the product recently underwent a drastic change and is now inedible. It tastes bitter and rancid like moldy wood powder, rather than cacao.The only reason I gave the product two stars is the incredible customer service provided by the company. Not only did they refund my purchase, but they also provided several replacement bags in hopes that I had simply received a single bad batch. Unfortunately, all of the replacements tasted just as bad.When the product returns to its former quality, I will give it an unconditional five stars. It s my favorite, so far, of those I have tried, although I didn't know what to base my expectations on when I began trying them. Not at all disappointing; in fact, a surprisingly great cacao. .Also like that it is available in the 2-lb. size, a better bargain. While I've never liked bagged foods, this package is thick, slick and sturdy, sits upright, and doesn't cause waste as it is easier to open and close. I've made hot chocolate with it and frequently add it to my morning cup of java; it dissolves well, leaves very little dregs in the bottom of the cup.
