They seal great, but then they are locked after they get cold.** A: hit them on the side a few times to release the seal **Q: Is this shaker NSF certified?** A: Not a clue sorry kitchen shaker I really like it. Ice and heavy and seals great you don’t have to kill it to split it when pouring **Q: What strainer works well with this? The oxo is too small.** A: My julep strainer is a little bit small for these tins, but my Crate & Barrel Boston strainer and my old Boston strainer before that work fine. Well, they WOULD work fine, but I never use these tins. They don't separate easily. I'm talking about needing monster channel-locks or similar. I keep them around for miscellaneous tasks -- but I never use them to shake a drink. **Q: There are two price points, $20 vs $26. They seem like the same product, even the weights. What is the difference?** A: The $20 set is just for the 2 piece shaker. The $26 set is the 2 piece shaker plus the Hawthorn strainer and a double sided jigger (4 pieces total). The jigger is awesome and I really appreciate the volume marks on the inside. They help immensely and ensure that I get my proportions right. As for the shakers, they work as expected but they look so damn clean and professional. The strainer is impressive. Most cheap strainers have only a few coils and don't trap small bits of material, but this strainer's coil is like a slinky. It'll strain even the smallest chips of ice and detritus. All in all, this is a high quality product.
