I suggest anyone considering this product consider another stone. That said although I’m still not sure, I’m using the grey side as coarse and clay as fine. Hope the manufacturer or seller chimes in and makes it more clear **Q: Did it come with anniversary box?** A: No. Simple cardboard. **Q: Did it come with anniversary box? i believe the anniversity stone is made in the usa** A: the stones I bought both came in a Norton factory box. Not sure what you mean by Anniversary box. Looks like a normal factory box with their logo's, etc on it. **Q: Pre soak required?** A: No need to soak, but coat it with a little oil or at least make sure whatever you’re sharpening is oily and it should last almost forever, otherwise swarf will get embedded that is all but impossible to get out. Although I haven’t bought this stone it’s been my experience with other Norton products. See video.: The flat stone and tapered stones were used only a few times before I learned the importance and effectiveness of oil.
