It’s a self-leveling gel so after you move it around on the nail, give it a couple of seconds and it smooths itself out. It didn’t take me as long as my acrylic does, and there’s no harsh smells and I hardly had to file anything! The nice thing about this product is that it cures in the uv lamp, so if you make any mistakes you can clean it up and start again, unlike acrylic where it dries so fast. High quality product for a great price! *by R***N on September 13, 2018* I absolutely adore Mia's Secret clear builder gels and I love this cover beige color just as much! I wrote an in-depth review of the performance of this product on the main page for their clear builder gel. In a nutshell- it is a thin consistency LED or UV gel, very self-leveling, cures fast and hard, files easily and has no odor. However beware of HEAT SPIKES esp if your layer of gel is too thick! I prevent this by setting my LED lamp to half power for the first layer. Perfect for beginners to using gel- just be sure to layer up thin coats or you'll flood your cuticles and get heat spikes ;) This cover beige does a good job of covering any imperfections on my nail bed. It looks much pink-er in the jar than after it is cured, when it's a more neutral peach tone. Love using this for baby boomer french manicures!
