Much to our surprise, a considerable number of bacteria made it through the filter! The filters were shipped without any padding or bubble wrap in a thin flexing cardboard box. During transport, the filter pores could have enlarged due to oil canning or the filters could have come unglued. Alternatively, they could have been defective from the factory.
