Installation instructions included. This element must be fitted to a fused spur by a qualified electrician. These PTC cartridge elements are intrinsically safe with self limiting capabilities. They can never overheat and cut out, should the rail or radiator run dry and can be used in both vertical and horizontal applications. The element will run up to its maximum temperature. Once this is achieved it will reduce the wattage consumption to maintain the rail temperature. PTC cartridge heaters must be matched correctly to the rail or radiators fluid volume to ensure a safe temperature is maintained. The temperature of the rail can easily be controlled by installing a suitable dimmer switch to regulate the amount of power supplied. The PTC element is Class 1 to BS EN60335-1 and is fully VDE approved to IP65 for use in all bathroom zones, including over the bath and within a wet room environment.
