And it did not disappoint! It was just gorgeous and delicious, added soda water, deliciously fragrant and earthy, and just the right amount of sweet to highlight the flavor.However, I took a risk and bought the Bay Leaf syrup too because I was really curious. It was a risk worth taking. The bay leaf flavor is unexpectedly good, herbal yet floral at the same time, not overpowering yet it has a beautiful depth of flavor. Adding lemon gives it a full, pleasant Mediterranean vibe.The only alcohol I have left in the house after the holidays is Limoncello, and I looked up whether bay leaf and lemon go well together. Apparently, it's a classic pairing! I only added half a shot of limoncello and a little less than that of the bay leaf syrup, a dried bay leaf from my own garden, a few drops of fresh lemon juice and soda water- it is absolutely heavenly.
