I am a 50-something year old, size 16 with double D up top so I'm certainly a ways away from petite or even average for that matter. The cotton blend fabric this tank is made of is heavenly soft. The built-in shelf bra could use some design improvements for those of us a little bigger up top. The triangular pads are sewn into the shelf bra, there's no getting them out without seriously damaging the tank. A larger, more naturally shaped pad would be nice and it would be awesome if it were removable. I can fit into the tank to wear under sheer tops and you can't really see the pads all too much so it's do-able, but it's really snug on me. That being said, the fabric is just amazing, I wish they made these in plus sizes, I would buy one in every color in a heartbeat. I can fit into the XL, but it's tight enough to be mildly uncomfortable. If you are more average size or petite this tank is amazing. The length is great the fabric is cool and incredibly soft and the padded shelf bra would probably look fabulous on someone a little less endowed than myself. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sizing *by W***R on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on November 26, 2018* I purchased this tank from one of the other brands and had to buy the M for lack of other options. It was a bit snug so thought I'd try the L in this brand. I typically wear a M in tops and 36B bra. The L was more comfy bra fit, but the armholes/shoulders are just that much bigger than the M making it less supportive (meaning I'm sagging!). So I might try and order an M in this brand to compare with the other one. The fabric is terrific and at my age, I prefer a true cup (not protective inserts) over a fabric shelf bra. It provides just a bit more support and protects against "headlights". I'll be wearing this around the house but there's always the times where I want to run out real quick, don't want to change, and this light support will do the trick. I'd never wear w/o a top over it, but I suppose if you're younger or just more confident, you sure could because it's a high quality fabric. I've washed in cold, dried for a few minutes before line drying and it came out perfectly. I remembered I had a tank from Kmart years ago with a shelf bra and it was really comfortable so thats what I put in the search, tank with shelf bra. I don't want spaghetti straps and I don't want racerback, this one fit the criteria. I followed the chart and ordered accordingly. I am a 38C, sometimes D so I got a XXL. It it wonderful and silky and holds my tatas in place enough that Im thrilled.
