Does it cover the bottom (end) of the hook?** A: Yes, the hook goes inside the handle. The green and blue part of the handle twists apart, there is a rubber "washer that fits on the hook. You slip the end of the hook into the lower part of the handle, twist the green part back on and the washer holds the hook snug. I've found this handle to be extremely useful and now own 5 of them so I don't have to change hooks as much but it's very easy to change to any hook from size B to K. I hope this helps. Something to hold onto *by K***M on August 14, 2023* I have arthritis in my wrist and fingers, which had taken the joy out of crocheting. I found this product several months ago, and after it sitting in my wish list for awhile, I finally decided to give it a try. To me, I felt like the instructions lacked clarity and struggled to figure out how to work it, but once I did, it was smooth sailing! This made it easier to hold (and less likely to lose) the crochet hook, and if I pay enough attention, I’m able to use it with minimal movement of my wrist! I will say, this product is completely plastic, so there were a few “rough” spots, particularly by the hole the hook comes out of; to remedy the problem, I was able to take a nail file and work those spots down so they don’t snag the yarn anymore.
