See picture. It could not possibly work. One contact was gone and one contact was so severely bent that could not work. This is an utter quality control failure. With one down lets look at the other.The other part in the pack suffers from the a lack of mechanical solder. (Actually every thing wrong with the second was wrong with the first also) A USB port like this has 9 solder joints. 5 are electrical and 4 are just there to hold it to the board. Of those 4, two had no solder at all and two had maybe half the solder they should. This lack would lead to early mechanical failure which in turn would cause electrical connection failure and the premature loss of the ability to charge the phone, again. There is a missing component, I believe it is a capacitor to ground, that was not installed don either board. I can think of about three valid circuit reasons it might be there and none why you would leave it off since they are bought for less than a penny each.All that said. I put some additional solder on the board and installed it and it worked fine. he only reason I went with this seller was delivery time. I have used another seller for this item before and they had a better product except for the PCB thickness which is fine if you leave out the shim. Not one star because I have a special set of skills such that i could make one work. The general population would give zero or one stars.
