They are a lovely size for everyone to use, even my grandkids. I took a star off for durability because they are ceramic, so if you drop one, it will probably break. I have one set I had ordered previously and then shared with my daughter--one of them dropped her spoon so I ordered some more. They just make eating any of your liquid (and small size pasta) meals more enjoyable. They look lovely on the table and go well with the Chinese and Japanese bowls you can buy for soups and stews.
