I need to get up fairly early in the mornings which disrupts his sleep and creates Mr. Cranky-pants. We were pretty desperate to find him better earplugs. A student left a review on Amazon about these headphones saying it helped cancel out all the noise and chaos a dorm room creates, while trying to study. He used them last night. Carefully, I went about my morning things to do and he continued to snore like a freight train right through laundry, putting dishes away and even our freaking Vitamix blender that could wake up the dead. I took a picture of him to prove it but unfortunately he would not let me post it for you to enjoy a good laugh. Build quality is good overall, does not feel like a cheap piece to me. Buttons can use some better materials but works flawlessly. All accessories appear to be well-made and sturdy materials are used. To my surprise, it came with a two-way Radio cable which makes a great setup for monitoring in the field.2. Overall Sound quality is on par with most reputable overhead headphones with similar sized units within the price range($50-$100). This pair is definitely tuned to emphasis bass, gives a more accurate output when performing pop and Hip-Hop musics(after 50 hours break-in). However, the sound stage is kind of wide and deep within this price range, while playing FPS games, I feel like it can be used as a gaming headphone thanks to the accurate positioning of sound sources.3.The ability of noise cancelling is on par with most products from name brands which lay between 80-150 bucks. I tested it standing next to an old air-conditioning unit makes constant annoying humming sound(over 130 decibels sometimes) . Pretty solid and yet lightweight. I was skeptical in buying but this one has good sound system and comes in nice fancy box. I bought it for my wife for her gym and she is really happy with it. Pretty powerful noise reduction too if you are wearing it. The only thing I wish it had was bluetooth but they don't say that in the description or the product itself. So, its not false advertisement. Great over all product.
