Q: Can this be used as a raised pond?

yes ive used it for a raised pond strong enough to hold the weight of the water .... i have just put a small log roll fencing around it to finish it off

Q: Do I need to buy anything else with this pond in order to sustain wildlife and frogs?

If you want a wildlife pond you’ll need to put a minimum of four pond plants around the edges (on the inside of the pond on the ledgers provided). It’s preferable to put some substrate in the bottom for ground feeding water beetles and as places to lay their eggs. Also go for plants that are different heights and some floating oxygenators. If you want to encourage dragonflies, you’ll need to have some grasses, Iris or other tall growing plants. It’s really important not to add any fish though, as they will eat the wildlife and also make the pond nitrogen rich which isn’t what you want for wildlife. Hope this helps
