The only frosted glass is in the little discs in front of each of the illuminated LEDs. No need to worry on that score. The only issue I had was that the switch is a bit fiddly and lights did not always come on at full intensity. A bit of investigation showed the batteries were a bit loose in the compartment. I wrapped them in a roll of paper which holds them rightly in place. The only problem is that whilst it can be hung "landscape" or "portrait" only the top two holes can be used as the bottom holes have the slots in the wrong direction. This leaves the mirror hanging on the top screws. This is ok but it can move when switching on and off or cleaning, To make it more stable I fitted double sided adhesive pads under the bottom fixings and now it's much safer. It looks very good and the lights are adequate to see with at night without putting the main lighting on.
