However, these films protected the bookend to be delivered in excellent condition. I bought similar bookends from another seller without the protected film, and those bookends arrived with scratches everywhere.

Works as described. Each side of the acrylic has a tab to help you peel off the plastic. I found I had to scratch the tab onto the plastic so it can actually help pull it off. Otherwise you need a knife to peel a corner. Then you add the rubber bottoms to them. Overall very satisfied with my purchase. None arrived damaged.
