There's no power on the land yet, and these work fine. It has two levels of brightness. The low power setting is supposed to go all night, but we used the high-power setting, which had plenty of brightness. We really didn't care if it worked 5 hours after sunset (after 11 pm in the winter; after 2 AM in the summer).
